FSSAI Registration Service

FSSAI stands for Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. It is an organization that monitors the food business in India. It is established under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and is an autonomous body.

The FSSAI launches under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (FSS Act). It is a consolidating statute related to food safety and regulation in India. It is responsible for the registering and licensing of the Food Business Operators (FBO) in India. It lays down the rules and regulations for running the food business in India. It ensures food product quality checks, curtails the food adulteration and sale of sub-standard products.

FSSAI registration is a 14-digit number that gives data about the producer’s permit or enrollment subtle elements, and the assembling state. This registration procedure aims to create more accountability on the FBO to maintain the quality of the food products.

FSSAI registration is required for all food-related businesses such as manufacturers, small eateries, grocery shops, importers, exporters, dairy farms, home-based food businesses, traders, restaurants, and retailers. Every food business operator who is doing food business needs an FSSAI license as per the Food Safety Standard Act.

The document required for basic FSSAI registration is passport photo and photo id proof. For state and central license, documents required are passport photo, address proof, list of food category, photo id proof, NOC from Municipality, Incorporation Certificate, MOA and AOA, list of directors, Import Export Code, and list of equipment.

FSSAI registration is only for those industries or manufacturers who deal in food businesses. If you are looking to start a food business, get the service from BTHAWK.
